Who We Are
ESAU is operated by ESAU LLC, a limited liability company organized in Missouri, United States. In these Terms, "ESAU," "we," "us," and "our" mean ESAU LLC. ESAU is a technology and social platform for hunters. We provide software features — a social feed, trophy records, check-ins, maps, weather and wind information, live streaming, messaging, a business directory with Business Chat, and a network for connecting with drone recovery pilots. ESAU does not hunt, guide, scout, recover game, or supervise any outdoor activity, and ESAU is not a party to arrangements users make with each other.
Contact & Support
- Company: ESAU LLC
- Support and legal notices: support@esauapp.com
- Mailing address: ESAU LLC, P.O. Box 491, Edgar Springs, MO 65462, United States

Governing Law & Disputes
- These Terms and any dispute arising out of ESAU are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
- You and ESAU LLC agree that any claim not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, United States, and both parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
- Before filing a claim, please contact us at the support address above so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
- Nothing in this section limits rights you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the place where you live.
Eligibility & Age
- You must be at least 17 years of age to create or use an ESAU account. ESAU is intended only for users 17 and older and is not intended for anyone under 17.
- When you create an account you must confirm that you are 17 or older. That confirmation, and the time it was given, is recorded with your account.
- Account creation asks for an email address and password and does not collect or verify a date of birth, so your confirmation is what we rely on. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
- If we learn an account belongs to someone under 17, we will remove it.
- If you allow anyone else to use your account, you are responsible for that use.
Account Responsibility
- You must confirm your email address before your account is fully active.
- You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and secure.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Accounts are for individual use. Do not share credentials or let another person use your account.
Hunting & Outdoor Responsibility
You alone are responsible for the legality and safety of your hunting, fishing, tracking, and outdoor activity. That includes:
- All federal, state, provincial, tribal, and local hunting and fishing laws, seasons, methods, and reporting requirements.
- Holding the correct licenses, tags, permits, and stamps.
- Landowner permission, lease terms, property boundaries, and trespassing laws.
- Safe handling, transport, and use of firearms, archery equipment, treestands, blinds, knives, ATVs, boats, and any other equipment.
- Evaluating terrain, water, weather, visibility, wildlife, and your own physical condition before and during any activity.
- Deciding for yourself whether an activity is safe and lawful. ESAU never makes that determination for you.
Assumption of Risk
- Hunting, fishing, tracking, blood trailing, night recovery, off-trail travel, treestand use, firearms and archery equipment, wildlife encounters, severe weather, cold and heat, water, and rough terrain all involve real risk of serious injury, property damage, or death.
- By using ESAU you accept those risks and remain solely responsible for your own safety and the safety of people with you.
- ESAU is not an emergency service. Do not rely on ESAU, its maps, its notifications, its messaging, or a live stream to summon help, report an emergency, or navigate out of danger. Contact local emergency services directly.
Recovery Network
- Drone recovery pilots on ESAU are independent users and independent service providers. They are not employees, agents, contractors, or representatives of ESAU.
- ESAU does not employ, dispatch, supervise, or direct pilots, and does not guarantee that any pilot will be available, will respond, or will accept a request.
- ESAU does not guarantee that a search will locate an animal or that any recovery will be successful.
- ESAU does not guarantee a pilot's skill, equipment, insurance, or qualifications beyond the limited checks ESAU actually performs — currently an application review and approval, account standing, Recovery Pilot membership or beta eligibility, availability, and, for Drone Recovery, a linked approved Drone Recovery business.
- ESAU sends a recovery request only to eligible providers whose own service area covers it, and the hunter chooses one provider. Providers' private base locations are not shown to hunters.
- Pilots are responsible for complying with FAA rules and all applicable state and local drone, wildlife, and privacy laws, including whether drone-assisted recovery is legal where they operate.
- Hunters and pilots are solely responsible for their own arrangements, including scheduling, access permission, payment, and any dispute between them. ESAU does not set, collect, or guarantee pilot fees.
- Location details a hunter shares with a pilot for a recovery are shared for that purpose. Pilots must not reuse or redistribute another user's location information.
User-Generated Content Rules
- You are responsible for everything you broadcast, upload, post, or send — including Kill Shot Live broadcasts, Recovery broadcasts, recordings, photos, videos, captions, comments, and direct messages.
- By posting, broadcasting, or sending anything on ESAU you agree not to submit content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, bullying, sexually explicit, or otherwise prohibited by these rules.
- All hunting content must depict legal, ethical harvests. Illegal hunting, animal abuse, unlawful violence, excessive gore, or content intended to shock or disturb others is prohibited. Respectful harvest, recovery, and trophy media is permitted, but excessively graphic content may be removed.
- Do not impersonate another person, expose someone's private information, or film people who have not agreed to be filmed where they expect privacy.
- Do not spam, scam, advertise without permission, or attempt to hack, overload, scrape, or interfere with ESAU or other users.
- You keep ownership of the content you create. You do not transfer ownership to ESAU.
- You grant ESAU a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, encode, transmit, display, and distribute your content as needed to operate the service and its features, and to promote the platform itself. This license does not give ESAU rights to sell your content, license it to third parties, or use it in paid advertising or merchandise without your separate permission.
- The license ends for new uses when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with other users, cached copies, and copies retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
- ESAU does not tolerate prohibited, abusive, exploitative, or illegal content or behavior, including child sexual abuse or exploitation material, which is described further on our Child Safety page.
- ESAU may remove content, limit or suspend features, remove an account, or end a live broadcast that violates these Terms, and may act on reports from other users. There is no obligation to pre-screen content.
- ESAU may display sponsored or promotional content that ESAU places directly. Sponsored placements are labeled as Sponsored.
Reporting & Blocking
- Every member can report a post, a comment, a direct message, another member's profile, a live broadcast, a business profile, a business photo or video, and a Business Chat message from inside the app using the ⋯ menu on that item.
- Reports go to ESAU's moderation queue, where they are reviewed and acted on. Action can include removing the content, ending a live broadcast, limiting features, or removing the account responsible.
- Every member can block another member. Blocking hides content in both directions and stops that member from contacting you.
- Do not file knowingly false or abusive reports.
- To ask about or appeal a moderation decision on your content or account, email support@esauapp.com.
- If you believe content is dangerous, involves a minor, or requires urgent attention, report it in the app and also email support@esauapp.com so it can be prioritized. For emergencies, contact local law enforcement.
Live Broadcasts
- Kill Shot Live and Recovery broadcasts are live, unedited, real-time video and audio from your device. You are solely responsible for what your camera and microphone capture and transmit.
- The content rules above apply in full to live broadcasts, including the prohibition on illegal, harassing, sexually explicit, or excessively graphic content.
- Viewers can report a broadcast while it is still live. ESAU can end an active broadcast at any time for a rules violation or a safety or legal risk.
- Broadcasts are recorded. A recording may be captured on your device and uploaded, and a server-side recording may also be produced, so footage can be replayed and attached to a trophy. Whether a recording is visible to others follows the privacy setting of the trophy or post it belongs to.
- Do not broadcast while doing anything that requires your full attention for safety, including handling a firearm or bow, climbing, driving, or operating a boat or ATV.
Camera, Microphone, Photos & Uploaded Media
- Camera, microphone, photo-library, and location access are only used when you grant permission on your device and only for the features that need them — capturing and uploading media, live broadcasting, and location-based features.
- You can revoke any of these permissions in your device settings at any time. Features that depend on a revoked permission will stop working.
- You confirm you have the right to upload every photo, video, and recording you submit, including the right to record any other person who appears or is heard in it.
- Uploaded media and recordings are stored by our storage providers and are subject to the file size and format limits shown in the app. How media is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
Location Data
- ESAU uses two kinds of location: precise GPS coordinates, and an approximate county/state area.
- Your precise coordinates — check-ins, hunt sessions, stands, map pins, shot and blood markers, and recovery trail points — are private to you. Other members see only your county and state.
- Precise coordinates are shared only where you deliberately share them, for example the coordinates you send with a recovery request so a pilot can search, or a location you post yourself in content or a message.
- Location information is not sold and is not used for third-party advertising.
- Maps, imagery, boundaries, coordinates, and wind and weather information may be delayed, incomplete, approximate, or wrong, and GPS accuracy varies by device and conditions. Verify boundaries, access, permission, legality, and safety yourself before acting. ESAU is not a survey tool, not a navigation system, and not an emergency or life-safety service.
Copyright & DMCA Complaints
- Only upload or broadcast content you created or otherwise have the right to use, including any music, footage, images, logos, or third-party material inside it.
- Do not post content that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights.
- If you believe content on ESAU infringes your copyright, send a written notice to ESAU LLC at support@esauapp.com with: identification of the work claimed to be infringed; identification of the material on ESAU and enough detail to locate it; your name, address, telephone number, and email address; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature.
- Complete notices are reviewed and infringing material is removed or disabled. Counter-notices may be sent to the same address. ESAU may remove repeat infringers' accounts. Designated agent for copyright notices: ESAU LLC, support@esauapp.com, ESAU LLC, P.O. Box 491, Edgar Springs, MO 65462, United States.
Account Deletion
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Deleting your account first cancels any web (card) subscription, then removes your account and your content. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google and are not canceled by deleting your account — you must cancel them with Apple or Google.
- When you delete your account, ESAU deletes or de-identifies account information and user-owned content as described in our Privacy Policy, including stored media that is not required to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, payment, or dispute-resolution purposes.
- Stored media includes photos and videos you uploaded and your Kill Shot and Recovery recordings, including recordings held by our recording storage provider.
- Deletion may take a limited period to complete across backups and storage systems.
- Recovery information: when you delete your account as the hunter who requested a recovery, that recovery request and the recovery and map location information recorded for it may be deleted, including exact coordinates. ESAU does not promise to preserve a completed recovery record or its exact locations after the requesting hunter deletes their account.
- Where another participant reasonably needs a shared record to remain — for example a pilot's record of a recovery they worked, or a camp other members still use — that record may be kept with identifying information removed rather than deleted. Limited records may also be kept where ESAU has a legitimate or legal reason to retain them.
- Business Chat history and business listings may be kept with your personal identity removed; a business left without an owner or manager is paused. Business media belongs to the business. Moderation reports may be kept with the link to your account removed.
- Billing records held by our payment processors, moderation and abuse records, and provider server logs are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Deleting your account does not by itself create a refund for a subscription period already paid.
Subscriptions, Cancellation & Refunds
- ESAU sells memberships through Stripe on the web, and through Apple or Google in-app purchase where available. Hunter Premium is $3.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Recovery Pilot membership is $49.99 per year and includes all Hunter Premium features.
- Memberships are recurring. They renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel — monthly plans renew monthly, annual plans renew annually. Payment is charged at the start of each period.
- Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from the membership screen. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your membership features stay active through the end of the period you already paid for; access is not removed immediately.
- Refunds: payments are not refunded for partial or unused periods, except where a refund is required by law or is granted by the payment platform that handled the purchase.
- Recovery Pilot membership does not by itself make you an eligible provider. Eligibility also requires application approval, which ESAU may grant or withhold. A membership payment is not a guarantee of approval.
- Normal business listings (Taxidermist, Outfitter, Meat Processor, Archery Shop) do not require a paid plan; they require Admin approval. Drone Recovery listings follow the Recovery provider requirements.
- We may change prices or the features included in a membership. Price changes apply to renewals after the change, and you can cancel before a renewal if you do not accept a new price.
Apple App Store Purchases
When ESAU is distributed through the Apple App Store, memberships bought inside the iOS app are sold through Apple's in-app purchase system. Those purchases are billed by Apple to your Apple Account, are managed and canceled in your Apple Account subscription settings rather than in ESAU, and renew automatically unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policies, and ESAU LLC cannot issue them. Apple is not a party to these Terms, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for ESAU, and is not responsible for ESAU or its content; these Terms are between you and ESAU LLC only. Memberships purchased on the web through Stripe remain governed by the section above.
Google Play Purchases
When ESAU is distributed through Google Play, memberships bought inside the Android app are processed through Google Play Billing. Those purchases are billed by Google to the payment method on your Google Play account, and a subscription may renew automatically according to the plan you selected until it is canceled. You manage or cancel a Google Play subscription through your Google Play account subscription settings rather than in ESAU. Google Play purchases are subject to Google's applicable billing and refund rules, and refund requests for them may need to be made to Google and decided by Google; ESAU LLC does not control Google's billing or refund decisions and cannot make them on Google's behalf. Google is not a party to these Terms, which are between you and ESAU LLC only. Memberships purchased on the web through Stripe remain governed by the Subscriptions section above.
Beta, Trial & Complimentary Access
- ESAU may provide Premium features, memberships, promotional access, beta access, trial access, reviewer or tester access, or other complimentary access at no charge.
- Complimentary, promotional, beta, or trial access is temporary and does not create a permanent entitlement to any feature.
- ESAU may change, limit, or end complimentary, promotional, beta, or trial access at any time, including for individual accounts.
- Ending complimentary access does not by itself start a paid subscription or create a charge.
- You should not be charged for a membership unless you separately authorize a paid subscription through the applicable purchase process — Stripe on the web, Apple in-app purchase, or Google Play Billing.
Contests
- Contest rules may vary. Any contest with a prize will have its own posted rules.
- ESAU may modify, cancel, or remove contests at any time.
- Entries must be legal, honest, and your own. Winners must follow all contest requirements to receive prizes.
Suspension & Termination
- ESAU may suspend, limit, or permanently remove an account that violates these Terms or our content rules, or that creates legal or safety risk for other users.
- When an account ends, access to the app and to membership features ends, and your content may be removed or hidden from other users. Data handling after deletion is described in the Privacy Policy.
- Ending an account does not automatically create a refund. Any active subscription should also be canceled so it does not renew.
- You may stop using ESAU or delete your account at any time from Settings.
Warranty Disclaimer
ESAU is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that streams or uploads will succeed, or that any data shown will be accurate.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ESAU is not liable for injury, death, property damage, lost or spoiled game, lost hunting opportunities, unsuccessful recoveries, service outages or downtime, failed or lost broadcasts, uploads or recordings, inaccurate maps, boundaries, GPS, wind, or weather information, device, camera, battery, or equipment failure, data loss, unauthorized access, disputes between users, the acts or omissions of recovery pilots or other users, content posted by users, or the acts, outages, or failures of third-party services ESAU relies on. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Third-Party Services
ESAU depends on third-party providers for hosting, database and storage, live video, recording storage, payments, mapping imagery, and weather data. Their availability, accuracy, and terms are outside our control, and their outages can affect ESAU features.
General Terms
- Severability: if any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any posted contest or feature rules, are the complete agreement between you and ESAU about the app.
- No waiver: not enforcing a provision right away does not waive it.
- Assignment: you may not transfer your account or these Terms without our permission. ESAU may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business.
- Changes: we may update these Terms. When an update is material, ESAU will ask you to review and accept the new version before continuing to use the app. Your recorded acceptance is tied to a specific version.
- Contact: questions about these Terms can be sent to ESAU LLC at support@esauapp.com.
